The number of deaths across the country has reached 386, including 16 deaths in the last 24 hrs. 1,617 people have been identified as COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hrs. So far, the number of confirmed cases has increased to 26,738. 5,214 people have recovered so far.
Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday called Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and proposed sending an expert team to help Bangladesh combat ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
As of Tuesday, some 2,749 police personnel have been infected with the virus, of which 1,097 cases are reported from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) alone. 9 policemen have died of Coronavirus as of today.Almost 500 people have recovered so far.
